RN66GB30L is a nylon 6.6 compound reinforced with 30% glass spheres; suitable for processing by injection molding, it is internally lubricated for ease of mold release.

 

Compared with reinforcement using glass fibers, the use of glass spheres results in almost isotropic shrinkage characteristics. This formulation is therefore recommended for use in large area or complex shape parts to minimize warpage, and for applications where good rigidity, and compressive strength are required.

 

RN66GB30L is Recognized by Underwriters' Laboratories under File E148796; further details of electrical Index PLC values are available from Michael Day Enterprises, or on line at www.ul.com/plastics.

 

For molded parts, which are to be exposed to high temperature for extended periods of time, the use of RN66GB30HSL, which contains an effective heat stabilizer package, is recommended. For applications where retention of either natural color or a critical tolerance color match is necessary, RN66GB30HL is offered, which contains a special non-tinting stabilizer system.
